Unseen Things: The Hunt is now available in epub format from Smashwords, and in Kindle format from Amazon. Both Origins and The Hunt also have pages on Goodreads.
It’s awaiting Premium distribution status at Smashwords right now, but once that’s approved it’ll be sent out to all of the same online retailers as Origins.
Synopsis:
Now that they had the ability to travel the dimensions, they also had the opportunity to rescue Jarrod Grant’s family from the troll-like Faranox and the Agaronin slave masters, but that wasn’t going to be an easy task.
Not only did they have no experience with fighting the Agaronin, but they had never traveled outside of their own dimension before, and as such, Derek, Jarrod, Tina and Sarah find themselves flying blind, and everything becomes a learning experience. Mistakes are made and lessons are learned as they have to kill as many of the Agaronin as they can in order to secure more of of the amulets that allow them to travel to the various dimensions.
When they get confirmation from a rescued slave that Jarrod’s family are in fact alive, a plan is set into motion to mount a full scale assault on the Faranox village where they’re being held, not only to rescue them, but to rescue as many of the other slaves as possible, so they can be returned to their own families and dimensions.
Unseen Things: The Hunt is the second book in the Unseen Things series. You’ll need to read Unseen Things: Origins before you read this book, otherwise you won’t get a lot of the references to things that happened during the first book.
I really hope you all enjoy this book, as I put a tremendous amount of work, and a whole lot of heart into it.
Book #2, Unseen Things: The Hunt, is finished, and in only 13 days! The word count before editing and proofing came out to be 80,891, but that may increase by a few thousand during the editing process if the first book was any indication. I’m not sure how long the editing will take, but I’m thinking possibly a week or a week and a half. Then after that I’ll do the copyright thing and then get it published and out there. I’ll post an announcement when it’s actually available, and add another widget specifically for that book with links to where you can get it.
I have just one more closing chapter to complete in book two, and then the editing and proofing phase can begin, which I anticipate will take about another week or so. If I finish off that final chapter today, that’ll mean I completed the story itself in just 13 days!
I spent the majority of 26 hours yesterday (maybe 21 if you subtract sleep and food) writing three complete chapters (8, 9 and 10) with a word count of 17,402 words. The total word count as of when I finished that freight train of writing was 51,128. I’m shooting for 95k as the goal for the whole book, so I’m over half way now. Let me just say, that while the first book in the series is really an introduction to the characters, this second book has a lot of very intense action, emotions, humor and gory awesomeness. Yes, I said gore. You’ll need to keep a mop handy for some of the scenes in this one. 😉
This second book really opens up and solidifies the main arc of the series. It takes you into different dimensions, and by the third book, will open up a multitude of new dimensions for the characters to explore.
Work continues. Keep checking the progress widget on the right for the current status. The cover is made already, so once it’s completed, I’ll just have to go through the editing and corrections process, which will take about a week or so, and also I’ll need to assign it its ISBN numbers as well as taking care of a few other things.
Book 3 title reveal.
Last night I designed the cover for book 3, and I really went all out with this one. It looks really sharp if I do say so myself. I’m not going to pre-reveal it though other than showing it to a few friends who’ve been reading the series.
So what’s the title of book 3 going to be?
Unseen Things: Exploration
I’ve been rolling some things around in my head about where I’m going to be taking the series in book 3, and I’ve come up with a few things, which is really all I need to get started on it. I have some other matters that need my attention at the present time, otherwise I’d have already been writing. I’m guessing that I’ll probably begin work on it in a few days from now.
