Just finished chapter 3 of Revenge. This has definitely taken a serious turn, and there are some revelations about what happened to Jarrod’s mom while she was a slave that are pretty horrific. I think the battle will probably take place between 1/3 and 1/2 of the way through the book, so after that things will calm down and I can lighten them up somewhat. I don’t want the whole book to end up being heavy. There’s a lot of fun and humor in the previous books, so having an entire book that’s just heavy all the way through would feel out of place in the series. I’ll see how it all plays out as I go, but so far this one’s been pretty intense.
