I just finished writing book 11 of the series, Resurgence. I’ll begin the proofreading and editing process today, and hopefully it’ll be ready to publish by next Monday at some point. The next book in the series will be called Emissary. I’ll begin work on it at some point after the first of next month.
The series has been added to both Google Play and OmniLit and it’s now live and available on both sites, in addition to Smashwords, Amazon and soon other retail and subscription sites.
With the addition of Kindle Unlimited to Amazon, they’ve given us the chance to remove our books from KDP Select early, which I’ve done. I’ve republished them on Smashwords and soon they’ll be going out to all of the normal distribution channels and subscription services, including Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple, Scribd, Oyster and others.
I couldn’t see any benefit with remaining in KDP Select as I’ve only had one borrow since I entered the program. Amazon’s exclusivity demands for promotions and inclusion in their subscription services should not be encouraged, and the amount independent authors will make from the program is suspect anyway since there are no hard numbers available.
Anyway, it’s a bit of a relief that my books will now be available everywhere once again. Well, everywhere except for Google Play. I added my books there for a short time and I just don’t like their setup, so I removed them and I don’t plan on putting them back, or at least not right away in any case.
A while back I got a nice review for Origins from a girl named Dionne in the Goodreads forums. She never posted it on the book’s listing, or rated the book on there, but I wanted to share the review anyway just so it wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle.

Nice. But I’ve finished reading your book and I liked it too. You had a funny point in the story too that I laughed at and still can’t get it out of my head, which still brings a chuckle to me.
Anyway I did enjoy reading this. The characters are unforgettable (so if you’re thinking of killing off these four, don’t) They make the story what it is.
The setting and the language on how they speak is very descriptive. Like I’m really speaking to teenagers there. It’s a lovely change of pace, in my opinion.
I may even end up getting the rest of your books too. You never know. *wink wink*

The Origins free weekend on Amazon has now ended. I really went all out in trying to promote this one, so when Saturday came and went and I only had 71 downloads on it, I was really disheartened. Then Sunday came around, things just exploded! Here are the final results for the weekend:

As you can see I made it to #1 in one genre category, but was frustratingly held out of the top spot in the other. I did make it to #173 overall though in the free books, which is absolutely amazing! Thank you to everyone who helped to make this free promo such a great success.

Resurgence Synopsis: The Zethichtalarin were nearly wiped out by the Nathalis, but thousands had managed to escape the destruction and wound up scattered throughout many different dimensions. They chose the Faranox dimension in which to regroup, because not only were the people there somewhat primitive, but the slaver villages had a ready supply of slaves that they could manipulate the free army into capturing and handing over to them. Their goal was to use the slaves to build themselves a new city where they could gather together the survivors of their race and plan their next move. They wanted revenge against those who had destroyed their worlds, but they didn’t count on facing a far different and vastly more powerful enemy that was out there searching for them, and whose only goal was to put and end to their evil once and for all.
Just as a side note, this book contains what has now become my favorite chapter in the entire series. 🙂
