I just finished the first draft of book 10 of the series, Encounters. Tonight I’ll start the editing process, and I should have the book published by the end of the week. It’s always a sad moment for me when I reach the end of a book, and I often get a little teary. It’s an emotional thing when you come to the end of something you’ve put so much of yourself into.
Once I get this one published, I’m going to get the cover designed for the next one and get started on it. I haven’t decided on the title yet, but by the time I finish the editing I’ll have the title and I’ll announce it at the same time I announce the publishing of this one.
When all is said and done, Encounters will be the longest book of the series. Pre-editing, the story itself is already sitting at 102,655 words, and I usually end up adding 1,000 to 1,500 hundred more during the editing.
